Mysteries of Palermo Tour

Mysteries of Palermo Tour    Our tour excursion will start with the visit to the impressive Catacombs of the Capuchin Friars, where more than 8,000 mummified bodies of monks, noblemen and citizens are dressed in their original 15th-century clothes. Next, we'll move on to the Zisa Castle, a marvellous example of Arab architecture, which served as a hunting lodge for the Norman kings. Proceed to the Quattro Cantu and the Piazza Pretoria with its beautiful Renaissance fountain originally built for a villa near Florence. Nearby is the Church of La Martorana where 12th century severe Norman architecture clashes with the frivolities of the Baroque style.
