"You cheer my heart, who build as if Rome would be eternal." − Augustus Caesar
This evening stroll brings you up close and personal to the city of Rome. We meet just near the Spanish Steps in Piazza di Spagna and then we will set out together to meet Rome and her romantic historical center. Strolling through the cobblestone streets, we'll make leisurely stops at the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Campo de' Fiori. As we fall into the evening hours, we'll see the city transform herself into her infamously romantic character when artists take the streets in Piazza Navona and the locals go out for an aperitif at their favorite venue.
Not only do we experience Rome's boasting piazzas and famous fountains on this walk, but we also converse about Rome's many prized artists, architects, scientists, and politicians and the marks they each left on Rome. Among these: Borromini, Bernini, Caravaggio, Bruno, Galileo, Julius Caesar, Mussolini, and Fellini.
