Spoleto Italy is one of the country's most beautiful hill-towns. It has a rich history, splendid architecture, and legendary art. Surrounded by ancient walls and a majestic landscape, Spoleto is a wonderful place to tour.
We will begin at Duomo Square, where you may gaze at the exquisite Cathedral of Santa Maria. Here you can see Fra Fillipo Lippi's "Life of the Virgin" fresco cycle, a 14th century painted wooden Madonna and Child, and a letter written and signed by the celebrated St. Francis of Assisi. Walking through the back streets of Spoleto we will tell you stories and secrets that will make this city's history come to life. Other highlights on our tour include a visit to the ancient Roman Theater built in the first century AD, and a stop at the Roman House, believed to have been the house of Vespasia Polla, mother of Emperor Vespasian who was responsible for building the Roman Colosseum.
